Rates are per person per night with fully en-suite facilities (shower, toilet and washbasin)
based on 2 people sharing either a double or twin room with full breakfast of your choice.

Please note that we cannot accept 1-night bookings in May - June - July - August - September
unless one night is available (please phone first).
The usual minimum booking during this period is 2 nights.

How to Book

Simply check vacancies with us first by email or via our Online Vacancies Enquiry Form and we will let you know if we have rooms available for your stay.

Deposits Equivalent to the first night's accommodation for stays of 1 - 6 nights or £50 deposit per person for stays of 7 or more nights.

• Guests are welcome to send us their deposit by credit or debit card via our Secure Online Booking Form.
  Alternatively, you can phone or post your details to us.
• We accept VISA, MasterCard, Maestro and Delta.
• We regret that for credit card payments there is a surcharge of 2.5% with a minimum of £2.
• There are no charges for UK debit cards.
• Check in time is between 4pm and 6pm. Rooms will be held until 6pm. On the day of departure, the room is available until 10am.

Please read our Booking Conditions & Cancellation Policy:

• To secure a booking a deposit paid by debit or credit card will be required, equal to the value of the first night’s accommodation or £50.00 per person for bookings of 7 or more days.
• The deposit is refundable up to 4 weeks before arrival minus £5.00 administration charge.
• For one night bookings, the full price per person must be paid in advance and is not refundable.
• Your reservation will be confirmed by e-mail or letter upon receipt of credit/debit card details with your full postal address and contact telephone number in writing.

Cancellation Policy:

• We respectfully remind guests that a reservation made and accepting accommodation by telephone, e-mail or in writing constitutes a legally binding contract between themselves and Lochan Cottage Guest House.
• In the event of cancellations, alterations or reduction in the number of nights before or after your arrival we have the right to ask you for a further payment to compensate us for our loss. Any postponement of confirmed bookings will be treated as cancellation.
• As Lochan Cottage Guest House is not in a position to enquire into or confirm reasons for cancellation, this cancellation policy covers ALL cancellations without exception and we will make charges according to it to the customer’s credit or debit card.

For your protection and to fulfil the contract with us, we strongly advise you to take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover any such eventuality.

A personal note
Why this cancellation policy?
A room cancellation in a hotel amount to less than 2% of the total capacity of that hotel and therefore any cancellation has little effect on their overall business for any particular day. In the case of a guesthouse or bed & breakfast any cancellation represents a far greater proportion of their business and in the case of Lochan Cottage Guest House each room represents 17% of our capacity. That is why guesthouse Cancellation Policies are generally less flexible than those of the hotels.
Please understand that Lochan Cottage Guest House is situated away from the main road and town centre with no passing traffic or foot fall. Due to our location it is not easy to re-let any cancelled accommodation at short notice. By taking your reservation, we agree to keep a room or rooms available to you, to the exclusion of all others, for when you requested. As a small business Lochan Cottage would not like to find that income is suddenly to be lost due to a cancellation through no fault of the proprietors.
